TATTOOS AND MOTORCYCLES HEADLINE NEW EVENT
First time event draws artists from six states
Bowling Green, Ky. — The first-ever Bowling Green Tattoo Expo and Custom Motorcycle Show will be at the Sloan Convention Center February 26-28, 2010. Hosted by Topper’s Fine Line Tattoos, the event will feature live tattooing, vendors, giveaways, custom bikes, tattoo contests, and freak shows judged by the crowd.
Show promoters Barney and Karen Lain of Owensboro also host an annual Kentuckiana motorcycle show in Evansville and wanted to bring an event to Bowling Green. As former owners of the Kentucky Motor Speedway, the Lains understand that motorcycle enthusiasts and fans of body art blend well and are often one in the same.
“We felt this was a great area with the right energy to consider as we are trying to expand, and we found an ideal facility with really helpful folks for this type of combination show,” Barney Lain explained. “We hope to establish a long term event here, offering both locals and visitors a different type of experience.”
Owensboro Biker News, Skin Artist Magazine, and Thunder Roads Magazine of Kentucky are among the specialty media covering the show. Shops and artists from Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, and Indiana will attend.
Admission for a one-day pass is $15 with multiple day passes available at reduced rates. Show times are Friday from 4 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to11 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 7 p.m. For more information, visit the show website at www.tattoomcshow.com or call Barney Lain at 270-929-6320.
