From the Jr. Ryder Cup to the Houchens KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16 Basketball Championships, from the U.S. Adult Soccer Association National Cup to a Men’s Fast Pitch National Tournament, we’ve hosted a wide variety of prestigious events in Bowling Green.

Houchens KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16 State Basketball Championships
March 9-12
WKU E.A. Diddle Arena
Celebrating 50 years of girls’ tournaments in 2011, the Kentucky High School Athletic Association returns to Bowling Green for the ‘Greatest Show in Hoops.’

Amateur Disc Golf Championships
April 1-3
Various Courses
This multi-course event brings the country’s best amateur disc golf talent to Bowling Green, qualifying the top 20% of Advanced Division players for the U.S. Amateur Disc Golf Championships.

AMA ATV Motocross Championship
April 2-3
Ballance MotoX
The nation’s largest and longest-running ATV national motocross program returns to Ballance MotoX featuring the nation’s best racers, teams and sponsors in an 11-round series.

All-American Soap Box Derby
May 20-21
Phil Moore Park, Kiwanis Soap Box Derby Track
For the fourteenth year, the Bowling Green Soap Box Derby welcomes racers for All-American competition and fun that sends winners to the National Championship.

U.S. Adult Soccer National Championships
July 13-17
Lovers Lane Soccer Complex
This event welcomes the best 32-40 teams in the US Adult Soccer Association as they compete in the oldest and most prestigious soccer tournament in the U.S. Divisions inlcude Men’s and Women’s Open, Amateur, Under 23 and Over 30 categories. 

ASA 14 & Under Northern National Girls Fastpitch Tournament

Multiple parks
The Amateur Softball Association is finding a great fit in Bowling Green and brings its highly attended Northern Nationals to town again in 2011 with over 100 teams expected.

Leachman KHSAA Girls’ and Boys’ State Golf Championships
October 3-8
Bowling Green Country Club
The top high school golfers in the state head to Bowling Green each fall for several days of championship play, camaraderie and celebration.

Russell Athletic/ KHSAA Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl
December 2-3
WKU Houchens-Smith Stadium
Returning to Bowling Green for four more years, the top 12 high school football teams compete for their Class Championship Title.
