August 4, 2016--Bowling Green, Ky.--The long anticipated commercial flight service serving to Bowling Green has been finalized and the flight schedules and prices have been announced.
Contour Airlines will be bringing commercial flight service to the Bowling Green Warren County Regional Airport beginning this month. The first commercial flight will depart the airport on August 29th. Service will include flights 7 days per week to Atlanta, Georgia and 2 days per week to Destin, Florida. Flights to both Destin and Atlanta will start at an introductory rate of $59 each way. The introductory fares are only available August 4th – 11th. Prices will vary and those rates will be first come-first served.
Flights can be booked at www.contourairlines.com or by calling 1-888-33CONTOUR starting immediately. A temporary terminal building is being constructed at the airport now to accommodate passengers that will include a security and waiting area. The Contour Airline plane will seat 29 passengers per flight.
The pricing of the flights isn't the only feature people have been excited about. The fact that travelers can drive across town, park for free, and will have a maximum of 29 people in the TSA security line in front of them is attractive. Several local businesses are already looking at these flights as a resource and vacation travelers have been calling the airport daily looking for details.
A marketing campaign will launch next week for the service and the airport will be using the tagline "Wheels Up BG" to celebrate the new service. The hashtag for digital media will be #WheelsUpBG.
